The InBody scan: a real baseline, not a bathroom scale

Your first scan happens during the Starting Point Session and takes about sixty seconds. It is how we personalize your programming and how you see progress that the scale hides.

What it measures

Six numbers that actually guide your training

The InBody is quick and non-invasive: you stand on the device, hold the handles, and it reports how your body is built rather than what it weighs.

  • Skeletal muscle massThe number we care most about after 40. Muscle is what keeps you capable.
  • Body fat mass and percentageMeasured directly rather than estimated from a scale reading.
  • Segmental analysisLeft versus right, arms versus legs, so we can see imbalances to work on.
  • Total body waterHydration and how it shifts, which explains most day-to-day scale noise.
  • Basal metabolic rateA realistic starting point for the nutrition conversation.
  • Progress over timeEvery scan is stored, so month four can be compared with day one.

How we use it

Measure, program, re-test, adjust

At your first visit

Your scan sets the baseline your coach programs from. Nothing is written before we measure.

Every few weeks

A re-scan shows whether muscle is moving in the right direction, not just what the scale says.

In your review

Your coach walks you through the change and adjusts your plan and nutrition guidance around it.

What it looks like in practice

Two members, and what their scans actually moved

Neither of these is a dramatic weight-loss story. They are both stories about body composition changing while the scale barely noticed.

The scale only moved about five pounds, but that number doesn't begin to tell the story. I lost roughly 13 lbs of fat and added 4 lbs of muscle, and my body-fat-to-muscle ratio has completely shifted. Even better, my energy is back.

It's group training, but the individual attention and care from the coaches makes it feel personal. My InBody scan was the launch pad. In the first 3 months, I've lost nearly 20 lbs and gained 3 lbs of muscle.

I earned every pound
