What is the Starting Point Session?

It is the no-pressure visit that starts everything. You meet the Director one-on-one, we measure where you are today, we listen to what you actually want, and you try a coached session, then you decide.

  • Meet one-on-one with the Director
  • InBody body composition scan
  • Functional movement assessment
  • Goal-setting conversation
  • Injury assessment
  • A coached session preview

What the visit looks like

  1. FirstA conversation with the Director, goals, history, and anything that hurts.01
  2. SecondAn InBody body composition scan: muscle, body fat, water.02
  3. ThirdA functional movement and injury assessment, so we know where to start.03
  4. FinalA coached session preview, at your pace, on your plan.04

You leave knowing exactly where you stand and what a plan for you would look like. There is nothing to buy on the day.

The Alloy difference · 30+ years of Alloy training

Side by side. Shoulder to shoulder.

One-on-one personal training in a small group setting. Most people who call us think they need a private trainer. What they actually want is individualized coaching, a program built for their body and someone watching every set. You get exactly that here, in a session capped at six members, without the private-trainer price tag.

How it works

Everyone trains together. Everyone is coached as an individual.

Sessions are semi-private and capped at six members. You run your own structured, progressive program while a coach works the floor, correcting positions, adjusting load, and keeping your progression moving forward week to week.

  • Max 6 members per session
  • ~60-minute sessions
  • 1 to 4 sessions per week
  • Individualized programming, a coach in the room every session
  • No long term contract

I feel like myself again

Came back after pregnancy and early postpartum, and 18 months without training.

The scale only moved about five pounds, but that number doesn't begin to tell the story. I lost roughly 13 lbs of fat and added 4 lbs of muscle, and my body-fat-to-muscle ratio has completely shifted. Even better, my energy is back.

I earned every pound

Turning 60, and done with training that had gone boring and routine.

It's group training, but the individual attention and care from the coaches makes it feel personal. My InBody scan was the launch pad. In the first 3 months, I've lost nearly 20 lbs and gained 3 lbs of muscle.

Strength wasn't optional

Tore an ACL in December and had surgery in January.

From day one, Nick and Eddie made me feel welcomed, even though my mobility was limited. We focused on upper body and core until we could start working on lower body. Between structured PT twice a week and Alloy on the other days, it's been the perfect combination for recovery.

Back on track

Sat at a desk 13 to 15 hours a day and hadn't trained consistently in three years.

The trainers made sure every workout was tailored to what I could do and cautious of my limitations. Four months in, I've lost weight, I feel stronger, and I look more toned.

"I’ve really liked Alloy Personal Training West LA. It’s small-group training, but it honestly feels almost like personal training because the coaches give you a lot of attention and help with your form. It’s also great if you’re new to the gym since you can learn how to use the equipment properly. The pricing is pretty reasonable too, which makes it easy to stay consistent. Overall, it’s a friendly, low-pressure place and I’d definitely recommend it."

"I’ve had an amazing experience at Alloy Personal Training. The coaching is top-notch—every trainer is knowledgeable, supportive, and truly invested in your progress. The workouts are efficient but challenging, and they tailor everything to your fitness level so you feel pushed without being overwhelmed. What really stands out is the atmosphere. It’s welcoming, not intimidating, and feels more like a community than a typical gym. The small group format gives you personalized attention while still keeping things fun and motivating. I’ve seen real improvements in my strength, energy, and overall fitness since joining. If you’re looking for a structured, results-driven program with great people, I highly recommend Alloy."

"I’ve had a great experience at Alloy Personal Training West LA. What really stands out is how individualized everything feels — even in a small group setting, the workouts are tailored so you never feel like just another number. The personalized attention makes a big difference in both motivation and results. The coaches are another highlight. They’re not only friendly and approachable, but also incredibly knowledgeable. They take the time to explain movements, correct form, and adjust exercises based on your needs, which makes the whole experience feel supportive and safe. If you’re looking for small group training that still feels personal and customized, this is definitely the place to go."

Great price

"Absolutely stunning gym! From the moment I walked in, the manager, Nick, was incredibly welcoming and informative. I’ve been searching for a gym that offers more personalized coaching to help improve my form and prevent injury, and this place exceeded my expectations. Nick took the time to provide thoughtful, individualized feedback that immediately made me feel more confident in my workouts. He knew exactly when to push me, striking the perfect balance between encouragement and challenge, which made the session feel both effective and empowering. I left feeling like I had made real progress, and I’m genuinely excited to continue training here and track my results over time!"

Great price

"I finally found the place for me. I am in my late 50's and knew I needed to work on my "working out". I saw the banner for Alloy and the location is perfect. I still work but part time. I didn't want a big impersonal gym that required me to do it on my own. I am also not a fan of the group classes. Always felt like I was not in step with them. Alloy offers exactly what I needed. Small boutique type of gym. Small (like 2-3) group sessions. We have goals and can quickly adapt to any changes in my physical conditions. I need both knees replaced. Nick was great at explaining the benefits of the small groups. I went in convinced I would only do 1 session per week but left having committed to 3 per week."
